WHAT IS TNR?

TNR [Trap, Neuter, Return] is a humane approach to preventing community cats from having countless litters of kittens, which flood shelters and rescues past our capacity to save them all. We offer a free, hands-on certification workshop to cover everything involved from start to finish including:

  • Differences of feral cats (community cats) and pets with feral cat history and behavior

  • Steps of humane trapping + pre-surgery and post-surgery care with video and live demonstrations

  • Practice using several types of box traps and how to safely provide in-trap care

  • The basics of caring for colonies of community cats

  • Building good relationships with neighbors through the TNR process, including helping the cats themselves be good neighbors

WHY BECOME CERTIFIED IN TNR?

Once you are TNR Certified through us, you will be able to receive the following program benefits:

  • Discounted trap rental deposits of $25 instead of $75 (deposit is fully refundable)

  • Free spay or neuter surgery for community cats including ear tip, rabies vaccine, and tattoo for females
